Stone Homes in the Village Core
Limestone homes around Main Street and the older village streets have solid walls that rely on heat from inside to stay dry. Insulating the walls from inside can push the stone colder and wetter, especially at joist ends. We usually start with the attic, rim joists and basement instead.

Country Estates and Walkout Basements
Larger rural homes in the township often have big attics and walkout basements. The exposed wall of a walkout loses heat quickly and tends to feel damp. Basement spray foam warms the space and ends condensation on the concrete.

Building Permits in Guelph/Eramosa Township
Rockwood is not part of the City of Guelph, so building permits are issued by the Township of Guelph/Eramosa's building department rather than the City. Finishing a basement, converting a shop to living space or adding an addition usually needs a township permit. We supply foam product documentation for your permit file.
